The moment Enrique Foster first tasted an Argentinean Malbec, he made up his mind to go to Mendoza and produce a Malbec with the optimum characteristics of that variety could offer. He purchased an old vineyard in Lujan de Cuyo and engaged winemaker Mauricio Lorca to oversee this project in a new winery.
Later, and with the guidance of Mauricio, Enrique discovered the virtues of wine-growing areas beyond Lujan and other varieties in addition to Malbec. This led him to Valle de Uco, the source of the grapes used for the various varietals and blends produced by the Foster Lorca Winery at present.
Recalling that first taste of Malbec which gave rise to his interest in Argentina, Enrique Foster invites you to taste his wines - traditional, elegant, and renowned for their quality. His objective is to produce distinctive wines of great personality, which respect and emphasize the potential of Argentine terroir highlighting those qualities unattainable in other parts of the world.
